A spoon full of sugar

25 Nov

Hello again. Today I was very excited as a parcel arrived from Kraftin Kimmie Stamps. I have been waiting for a few weeks for it to come so I could use these stamps.

So today I have joined in the A Spoon Full of Sugar challenge. The current challenge is a colour challenge. You need to use the colour brown as your base colour and then you can add blue or pink to it. I have also based my card on the layout used by the guest designer Jorunn. Her card was very pretty but I really liked her layout. When I set off making the card I thought I had some felt bird embellishments that I could use which would match my paper but when it got to the stage of pulling them out to embellish I realized that I have never actually brought them!!! Regardless of that I am happy with how my card has turned out.

So what have I used you ask! I have used my copics for colouring Charlotte, patterned paper by basic grey, cardstock chocolate chip and Kraft from Stampin Up, faux stitching, lace and brown ink for smudging.

Anyhow I better be off now I need to take Elizabeth to netball training. I hope you have all had a good day.

I will hopefully be back again tomorrow with some more.

Until next time xoxo

Inkspirations Colour Challenge #13

27 Sep

What a wet weekend we have had here in Melbourne. Yesterday was the big Grand Final Day and for all the Geelong supporters out there congratulations on your win in the Grand Final yesterday. I did not watch the match but did get glimpses here and there and from what I could see The Saints played really well and the game was very close the whole way through.

Today  we had a party for my beautiful niece Caitlyn and her Dad, Andy and Mum organised a party with an animal farm. Weather aside it was a great party and the kids loved patting all the animals. I was very disappointed as I forgot to take my camera, I am sure I have missed out on some great scrapbooking pages LOL!

That is enough about me now lets get down to business. Today I decided to play along with Keesha’s colour challenge as it suited the stamp that I wanted to use. Here is the colour challenge:

So the card, well I purchased a while back it’s called “to catch a big fish” from the Sugar Nellie range from Funky Kits. The biggest surprise for me with this card is that I came up with the layout all by myself, not sketch’s to lead me. I am very happy with the way the card came out. So I suppose I better let you have a look at it LOL!

Well anyhow that is all from for now I have to go make some dinner for the kids and me. I will hopefully be back later tonight or tomorrow with a pic of the card I made for Caitlyn’s birthday.
Till next time xoxo
